Unleash your inner Spielberg with the help of the OIPC’s latest free webinar!
Ontario is home to many invasive plant success stories, but we often struggle to communicate our message in an engaging and memorable way. Using video to share your stories can help you take that Phragmites eradication project to the next level! Join us on October 5th as our guest speaker will help you become the Ron Howard of Hogweed, the Scorsese of Scots Pine. No videography experience is needed! To register, please follow the link below and use the password “83DZGXqw”.
In this webinar, participants will learn how to get started creating compelling video content for social media and other purposes, even if you have no prior experience and nothing but the phone in your pocket.  We will cover both the creative and technical aspects of video creation.  Topics will include things like how to use a storytelling approach, shooting techniques, and how to make the most use of the technology that you have available to you, even if you are not technically savvy. There will be something to learn for both beginners and more experienced video creators.
About Oren Hercz
Oren Hercz has been helping non-profits, small businesses, and big brands spread their message and make an impact through video storytelling for over 20 years.  He got his start as  an editor for documentaries and short films, and went on to learn every aspect of the craft from writing to directing, to music and sound design.   He now manages a team of content creators as Head of Production for Journeyman Film Company (journeymanfilm.com) where he regularly works on a wide range of projects for clients like Telus, The Arthritis Society, CMHC, Genome Canada, and Dalhousie University.
As the tools for creating quality visual content become more widely available and easy to use, Oren is also becoming increasingly passionate about sharing what he knows with others.  With a little knowledge and practice, individuals and groups have an incredible opportunity to harness the power of visual storytelling to spread their message and amplify the difference they can make in the world.  It’s an honour to be able to help people take steps in this direction.  Oren is also a naturalist and professional herbalist.
