Established in 2015, the Early Detection & Rapid Response Network of Ontario is a joint program between the Ontario Invasive Plant Council and the Invasive Species Centre, funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The program is currently operating in the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Sudbury-Algoma catchment. In the first two years the EDRR Network operated in 4 pilot regions across the province (Peel Region, Halton Region, Sault Ste. Marie & Thunder Bay) where we strive to increase collaboration and community capacity on detecting and responding to new invasive species threats. For more information on our program, please check out the EDRR Network website at www.edrrontario.ca.
