Some very clever folks have created a website on which to share recipes that use invasive species as the primary ingredient. What great revenge! In the process of reviewing the recipes your will find yourself drawn into learning more about the invasives we have here in Ontario, as well as elsewhere in North America (and beyond).
...and, although it is not an invasive plant, if you would like to explore the taste of carp, one of our devoted visitors to our website offered this link to carp recipes.
A very useful website is being designed and sustained by a collaborative group of organizations with a focus on weeds that impact agriculture. Here you will find a large database of information about the identification and habitat of weeds found throughout Canada -- with a strong representation of those found in Ontario. This is very much a "self-help" tool, but you will note in the left column menu, there is an opportunity to send photos to a specialist who will help you identify a species. The site is known as weedinfo.ca ... http://www.weedinfo.ca

A website of the US Fish & Wildlife Service enables users to locate an invasive species expert. The pick list of "states" lists several Canadian Provinces and has links to several OIPC members. It is an interesting concept, that perhaps can be further developed with Canadian content.
