Once again we had a strong turnout for our Annual General Meeting and Symposium. We added 3 pre-meeting events that were fully booked and participants reported that they were very informative and fun. The evening social -- ramped up to a include outstanding food in the beautiful atrium of the Lamplighter Hotel -- was the most fun and visibly resulted in a lot of renewed friendships and new connections being made.
The actual AGM and Symposium was attended by 120 registrants and presenters. There were some significant changes to the format from last year, but we kept the parts that people liked the most about previous meetings. We kept a good amount of time for networking and discussion, and also maintained our reputation for getting a great combination of leading specialists from Canada and the USA, along with the key responsible people for important policy and program areas in the provincial and federal government.
This link will provide you with the full program for the day, including an overview of the field trips and presenter bios. This link takes you to a photo slideshow. For the full summary of feedback from the evaluation forms, click here
We had a very large percentage of evaluations completed and most of the participants rated all aspects of the meeting at 6s and 5s (out of 6) for quality. 100% of the respondents indicated that they would return for next year's meeting! We all went home with exciting new information and contacts....energized to try out some of our new-found knowledge. Comments from the evaluation forms included:
"Good talks, good questions, very informative!"
"A great opportunity to mingle with colleagues and learn what everyone is working on!"
"Best AGM to date!"
